January 22, 2010

We were able to go to the Humane Society today and visit the dogs, cats, bunnies and Guinea Pigs. Carlene our guide was super nice. When we got back we talked about future activities that people might be interested in having us do here at the Center and the answers were so great. Tawna would like to see us ride horses and feed ducks. Kate wants more game playing, Trax and Front Runner train rides. Jacque would love it if we went for long long walks, hikes or snow shoeing. She would also like some games of "duck duck goose". Sara wants to see more bowling, hanging out at her house watching movies and playing games. Nate likes the idea of going to the National Ability Center, doing something fun with horses and more board games. Andy wants game playing too. Stuart would love to go hang out at Toys R Us, camping, or going to his Dad's new house in St. George, along with ice skating and watching a baseball game. August would like it if we went to Costco, had a drink a hot dog, pumpkin pie, coffee then top it all off with McDonalds.
We loved ALL of the ideas and can see fitting them into our schedule somehow in 2010. It will be our personal challenge!
We miss our Ashley and Beau on Fridays and also really miss our Daniel buddy who is still warming his bones down south...can't wait till he comes back. We enjoyed having Cameron from South Valley's class 7 and Katrice from class 8 visit us this past week. What a great program that allows for people to come when it works best for them. Everyone is welcome on the days that fit their schedules. So glad it has worked out like this.
Thanks to Aunt Pat who comes and helps us at the Food Bank on Wednesdays... we love her help. She has fallen in love with our kids and can't wait to see them each week. Thanks also to Stacy's niece Stephanie who has been doing her internship with us. the kids have taken a liking to her and ask where she is on her days off. What a sweetheart.

It's so fun to see what Andy's been up to. I can see why he loves school so much! It sounds like Andy is back to calling my parents mom and dad. Telling him about Stacey's house guests must have done the trick. Genius!

Thanks for posting, it is always fun to see what you are up to. I think the camping idea sounds fun maybe we could help plan some sort of Day Camp when it gets warmer. Looking forward to Friday.
